Born and raised in Bentonville, Arkansas, Jerry Bishop grew up hunting and fishing in the Ozarks. After majoring in art at the Univ. of Arkansas, he worked in advertising for several years before turning to art as a vocation. His love of nature has had a great influence on his artwork. He specializes in painting birds and fish, but his watercolors also encompass other wildlife. Since turning professional in 1977, he has produced over 160 limited edition prints, many of which have sold out. His watercolors are represented on all of the continents and he has sold more hand-painted prints than any other artist. His work may be seen at his gallery in Silver Dollar City, Branson, Mo., where he has been their resident artist since 1995, or ordered through this website. Call for information on original artwork.
